The World Family Summit+5 was held in Istanbul, Turkey on Dec. 4-7, 2009. The theme of the summit is ¡°Families in Balance¡±. Discussions were held revolving around ¡°Achieving Gender Equality and Empowering the Women¡±, theme of the Annual Ministerial Review and Development Cooperation Forum of UN ECOSOC 2010. About 300 representatives from 54 countries participated in the Summit. China NGO Network for International Exchanges, All-China Women¡¯s Federation and Beijing NGO Association for International Exchanges sent representatives to the Summit.
