The 2009 Global Summit of Women was held in Santiago, Chile on May 14-16. The theme of this year's Summit is "Setting New Paradigms for Business and Political Leadership". More than 600 representatives from over 50 countries and regions participated in this Summit. Mme. Cheng Hong, Deputy Mayor of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality attended and addressed the Summit. China NGO Network for International Exchanges, United Nations Association of China, China Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Beijing NGO Association for International Exchanges sent representatives to this Summit.
